Whether it's a quiet canoe ride on Lake Delta or an invigorating hike or bike on a wooded trail, it's sure to be a special vacation. Watch for deer, bear, raccoons, bald eagles, loons and many other types of wildlife which all find their homes here at Deer Trail Lodge. Much of our shoreline has been left in its natural state so you can observe nature's ecosystem. Enjoy swimming from our sand beach, fishing in the lake, or walking our nature trails winding through our 70 wooded acres. Outdoor activities include volleyball, basketball, canoeing, paddle boating, or just sitting back relaxing by a campfire.

Deer Trail Lodge is known for the splashes of colors of autumn leaves. Late September and early October are prime for a backdrop of fall color that no one will find less than breathtaking. Warm days invite pleasant walks and peaceful boat rides to view the many wonders and changes of nature. Fall is the most beautiful time of the year at Deer Trail Lodge so be sure to bring your camera. This will be a time for relaxed activities you will always remember.

Easy access is assured by several all-weather roads. With camera or cartridge, fall is a great time for hunting whitetail deer, black bear, waterfowl of every variety, as well as ruffed grouse and woodcock. The sportsmen and women will be sure to find this time of year to be a hunter's paradise.

With thousands of lakes and world class trout streams in our back yard, Deer Trail Lodge is a fisherman's dream come true. Whether it's tackle busting smallmouth bass on Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay or beautiful native trout on the Brule River, you will have plenty of options for wetting a line. Excellent fishing also includes walleye, musky, northern pike, largemouth bass and panfish.
