Summer
is a great time to bring the whole family, escape to the north woods with that special someone, or get ready for a super reunion and a week of "back- to-nature" fun at Deer Trail Lodge. Whether it's a quiet canoe ride on Lake Delta or an invigorating hike or bike on a wooded trail, it's sure to be a special vacation. Watch for deer, bear, raccoons, bald eagles, loons and many other types of wildlife which all find their homes here at Deer Trail Lodge. Much of our shoreline has been left in its natural state so you can observe nature's ecosystem. Enjoy swimming from our sand beach, fishing in the lake, or walking our nature trails winding through our 70 wooded acres. Outdoor activities include volleyball, basketball, canoeing, paddle boating, or just sitting back relaxing by a campfire.

Autumn
Deer Trail Lodge is known for the splashes of colors of autumn leaves. Late September and early October are prime for a backdrop of fall color that no one will find less than breathtaking. Warm days invite pleasant walks and peaceful boat rides to view the many wonders and changes of nature. Fall is the most beautiful time of the year at Deer Trail Lodge so be sure to bring your camera. This will be a time for relaxed activities you will always remember.

Winter
activities in the beautiful north woods include snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Downhill skiing at Mt. Telemark, and other nearby ski hills, is within short driving distance of Deer Trail Lodge. After an adventurous day in the great outdoors, come back to a clean, cozy, warm cabin a short walking distance from our lodge area to enjoy our winter wonderland.

Spring
into an early fishing trip at Deer Trail Lodge. Hot angling action begins with opening day in early May. Lake Delta will be your best bet for reeling in a trophy largemouth bass, rod-shattering northern pike, platter size panfish and huge jumbo crappies. With the area's many nearby rivers, streams and tributaries, your chances of catching a creel-breaking trout are great. Watch the re-awakening of the forest as mother nature works her wonders right before your eyes. Wild flowers begin to peek out of a blanket of last year's fallen leaves, the trees and bushes are starting to bud out and turn from brown to luscious green, and the lake comes alive with fish, birds, and shore life. Come relax with us and enjoy the promise of spring at Deer Trail Lodge.

Hunting
season in the late fall is a great time at Deer Trail Lodge. Hunters will cross the path of trophy game in the surrounding Chequamegon National Forest. Easy access is assured by several all-weather roads. With camera or cartridge, fall is a great time for hunting whitetail deer, black bear, waterfowl of every variety, as well as ruffed grouse and woodcock. The sportsmen and women will be sure to find this time of year to be a hunter's paradise.

Fishing
With thousands of lakes and world class trout streams in our back yard, Deer Trail Lodge is a fisherman's dream come true. Whether it's tackle busting smallmouth bass on Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay or beautiful native trout on the Brule River, you will have plenty of options for wetting a line. Excellent fishing also includes walleye, musky, northern pike, largemouth bass and panfish.
